Estimates and binding quotes
An estimate is our good-faith assessment of what your move should cost based on the information you give us. A written quote becomes binding once you accept it and we have the full, accurate details of your move. If the actual job differs from what was described — more items, added stops, stairs or a long carry we weren’t told about — the price may be adjusted, and we’ll tell you before any change takes effect.
Deposits and cancellation
A $119 deposit reserves your date and crew, and it’s credited toward your final total. If you cancel or reschedule with reasonable notice, we’ll work with you on the deposit. Last-minute cancellations may forfeit the deposit, since that date and crew were held for you and turned away from others.
Liability and protection
Released-value protection of $0.60 per pound per item is included at no charge and is the default level of liability unless you choose otherwise. Full-value protection is available for an additional cost and must be arranged before your move. We carry up to $1,000,000 in cargo coverage per shipment. Claims for loss or damage must be made in writing within the time period required by applicable regulations.
Our licensing
Collegiate Movers operates under a Colorado Public Utilities Commission household-goods mover permit for moves within Colorado and under US DOT and MC authority for interstate moves. We are bonded and insured.
Customer responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate move details, safe access to both locations, and to disclose hazardous, perishable, or extremely high-value items in advance so we can advise you on how they should be handled.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado. Any dispute arising from our services will be handled in accordance with Colorado law. We may update these terms from time to time, and the current version is always posted on this page.
