Why I started this

I grew up here. I learned to drive on University Blvd, watched BackCountry and RidgeGate go up, and spent more than a few weekends helping friends’ families haul furniture up the steep driveways we all have down here. After college, I saw two things clearly. Plenty of strong, dependable student-athletes needed honest work between seasons. And plenty of Highlands Ranch families were getting burned by movers who quoted one price and charged another.

So in 2014 I bought a truck and put those two things together. I hired the kind of clean-cut, hard-working students I’d trained with — and I made them my employees, on my payroll, background-checked and trained the right way. That’s the “Collegiate” in Collegiate Movers. Not a labor app, not a pool of strangers. My crew.

Twelve years later we run five trucks and about fourteen movers out of our Highlands Ranch yard, just off C-470 with the Front Range foothills in the windshield. Paige Sutton has run the office since 2015, Derek Nolan has handled estimates since 2016, and crew leads Cody Brennan, Mason Reyes, and Trevor Lange have logged a lot of careful miles between Chatfield Reservoir and Castle Rock.

How we work

The promise is simple: the named crew on your estimate is the crew that shows up, and the written price we hand you is the price you pay. We load, drive, and unload every job ourselves. We carry US DOT and MC authority for interstate moves and a Colorado PUC household-goods permit for moves inside the state, and we’re bonded and insured.
